Reading and Language
Galovin Solutions Inc. provides the foundation for strong English Language Arts skills and supports students as they develop into confident readers and efficient writers across every content area. Students continuously develop and practice listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The program consists of a combination of elements from different evidenced based strategies that emphasize the marks of an organized literacy program: oral language development, phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Strategic reading and writing suite designed to teach students flexible strategies for decoding words and to increase their oral and silent reading fluency. Using a highly generalizable and effective strategy for decoding multisyllabic words, the aim is to improve word attack and fluency skills and increase automaticity. The program supports any core curriculum and offers flexible implementation options using a strategic blend of print and online materials.

Social Studies
Examines the vast human experiences through the generation of questions, collection and analysis of evidence from credible sources, consideration of multiple perspectives, and the application of social studies knowledge and disciplinary skills. Social studies include the interdisciplinary study of history, geography, economics, and government/civics and are well-integrated with the study of language arts, the visual and performing arts.

Mathematics
The mathematics program offers balanced instruction through hands-on activities, games, fact practice, and daily routines. Students connect mathematical concepts to real world situations with an emphasis on problem solving, critical thinking and exploration of multiple strategies. We provide repeated exposure to mathematical concepts and skills to increase mastery.
The focus is on strategies to become mathematically literate and develop skills on how to collaboratively solve problems. The aim is to work on mathematical skills including abstract reasoning, collaboration skills, ability to learn from peers and through technology. The mathematics suite considers the relationship of language and content, and the vital role that language plays in obtaining and expressing mathematical content knowledge.

Science
Students should have the ability to solve problems that interest them, have context in their lives, and help them understand natural phenomena.
